On Saturdays the lot has its entrance traffic arms in the up position. Use it. WARNING: parking in the wrong place subject to fine. NoVA has told us the following: In accordance with he stipulations of your facilities use contract, your organization [i.e., Washington Apple Pi] is authorized parking privileges in the Cultural Center Parking Lot. This parking lot is located in from the Ernest Cultural Center plainly marked by a green and yellow sign. If your participants park on campus in a place other than the Cultural Center parking lot, they may receive a parking ticket. In need of Macs
We've got many members who have asked me what to do with their older, still-serviceable, sitting-on-the-shelf, computers. Here's a request for a very worthwhile program that could benefit greatly from them. Anyone with a computer to donate should contact Kenneth Harrell or Larry Brown, Jr., Youth Community Organizer, Neighborhood Housing Services, Greater Hillendale Community 410-769-8820.

From Ken: "My name is Kenneth Harrell and I am a volunteer with the Youth Ambassador Program (Y.A.P.), a program organized by the Neighborhood Housing Services of the Greater Hillendale Community. The Youth Ambassador Program is in need of a few good Apple Computers. Y.A.P. would like to add a new multimedia training course to the programs curriculum, and recognizes that Apple computers are best suited for our purposes.  If your organization would be interested in sponsoring this new endeavor through the donation of used Apple computers or could provide information on other options it would be of great benefit to participating youth."

HotApp 1.7.2
   http://www.trufsoft.com/HotApp.html

A review from Frank Petrie, Technologies and Products Specialist for User Groups, Mid-Atlantic Macintosh User Groups Team  (MaMUGs)

Since the first days of OS X, users have cried, "Where are my F-Keys?" Well, eventually QuicKeys came out with a OS X compatible version but with a decently sized price tag. But because X's UNIX roots, OS X has become a playground for budding programmers. One of the best results is this handy, inexpensive, yet powerful application - HotApp. Not only does HotApp bring back the days of the F-Key but a whole lot more. This application has a feature set to go toe-to-toe with its more expensive brethren, QuicKeys. Paste text, launch .apps, launch  URLs, Address Book Quick Search, add AppleScripts, and so on and so  on. I purchased this .app after only 15 minutes of use. It allowed me to  remove a handful of aliases from my Dock. My desktop is not completely clean but we're getting ever so close. If you want to get the best bang for your buck for a keyboard .app, look no further. Requirements: Apple Mac OS 10.1.5 or OS 10.2.x/, Price: $15.00,
